Useldange

Useldange - on the shores of the Attert

Living in the shadow of their castle with its impressive tower, in which a magnificent exhibition depicts life in the Middle Ages, the inhabitants of Useldange do not lack any ideas to show off the historical heritage of their picturesque hometown.

Every year in June they welcome many history- and folklore fans to their great medieval festival, which has a very enticing programme and displays all kinds of handicrafts. Useldange also opened a small but fine cultural centre a few years ago. However, they do not leave it here. Now, the village also has a facility for accommodation and restoration that is nowhere else to be found in Luxembourg.

Under the mischievous gaze of Péitche Lauer, a figure from a famous Luxembourgish song, a brand new hotel and restaurant complex, furnished according to strict ecological standards, welcomes visitors from near and far. The complex includes, directly on the banks of the Attert, a series of mushroom-shaped huts, called MushRooms, which are comfortably equipped and ensure a truly unforgettable stay.

If you want to observe the area from the air, there is an airfield for gliders in the immediate vicinity. In Everlingen, which belongs to the municipality of Useldange, you can also go deep down: the museum of speleology is located here and is, without doubt, worth a visit.
