Hidden Treasure - The canton of Redange has many hidden and partly unknown places that, according to our citizens, are definitely worth a visit.
“As a girl from Préizerdaul, I chose a special spot along the Auto-Pédestre trail that I still carry in my heart today. Here in Préizerdaul, you can still experience the authentic and peaceful side of the Wëlle Westen.
The trail starts down by the former cloth factory. With the pond in front and a bit of imagination, you can almost picture people working there in the past. Then the path climbs uphill, and suddenly it becomes very quiet. Here you can admire the beautiful valley, experience the surrounding farmland, and after a few steps, enjoy a view over the entire village. It’s truly a postcard view of Préizerdaul – from Pratz to Rindschleiden and Bilsdorf. Not far from there, a bench under a tree invites you to take a break.
From there, the path leads down to Horas, where it follows the Roudbaach through the forest. It’s a place where you can really take a deep breath before heading back through meadows and fields.
For me, this place is especially meaningful because, as a child, I used to fly kites here with my parents in autumn when the wind was strong enough.”
